Make your own poetry book:
write, craft and create!
This workshop is designed for children 4 and up, but the whole family is welcome: younger children may enjoy taking part. Any unaccompanied children must book in advance.
Together, we will write our own poems. We will then make and decorate handmade books to present these poems.
£2 each or £5 for families
To book, email bluejamarts@gmail.com. For further details, contact Jilly 0776605315.
Workshop led by Elinor Rooks.
Elinor is a young writer and artist and a newcomer to Penrith. She earned her PhD in English Literature at the University of Leeds, and she has led community writing groups in Manchester and Stockport. She believes writing is for everyone, and she aims to encourage others to explore and play with words.

An open workshop for singers, artists and any adult or young adult who would like to give it a go.
The Original Room upstairs will become an impromptu performance space. We will cover the walls and tables with paper and create a communal work of art and soundscape – you can dip in and out – go and look at the galleries, eat cake and drink tea and come back in and see what has changed.
£8. Led by Jilly Jarman
