ABOUT BRYONY

Lancaster-based singer, songwriter, and musician Bryony Jarman-Pinto seamlessly blends enchanting vocals and spellbinding jazz-infused melodies with intricately crafted and personal lyrics, drawing inspiration from soul and folk influences.

Releasing her second album, Below Dawn, which navigates sentimental themes, from societal change and untapped emotions to the profound journey of pregnancy and motherhood, she has seen support from across BBC Radio 6 presenters including Huey Morgan, Craig Charles, Deb Grant and Tom Robinson and Gilles Peterson, alongside spins from Sian Eleri, BBC Radio 4’s Loose Ends, Tina Edwards, Jazz FM playlisting, and a live BBC Radio 2 performance as part of Jo Whiley’s BBC Introducing showcase.

Join Swedish fiddle duo Emma and Ellika, who are visiting Cumbria from Sweden, on the first stop on their UK Album Launch Tour. They will be performing at BlueJam Arts Space on Tuesday 18th March (7:30pm). All are welcome.

Deeply rooted in the Swedish fiddle tradition, Emma & Ellika play tunes and improvised second voices with power and variety. New compositions by both Emma and Ellika stand side by side with traditional material from Bingsjö and Orsa in the county of Dalarna. VÄDER (Weather) is their debut album.
